Explicação das cores da máscara facial de LED: Um gráfico de terapia de luz de 7 cores

Máscara facial de LED com etiquetas coloridas visíveis e um aviso para verificar o comprimento de onda e o modo exatos

Resposta curta: A 7-color LED mask chart can help decode product labels, but those names are not standardized treatment rules. Red and/or blue have broader evidence for specific studied applications, including certain home-device studies of mild-to-moderate inflammatory acne; selected red-light studies also address visible skin aging. NIR is listed separately because it is not one of the seven visible-color labels and is generally outside what users can see. Verify your model’s wavelength, active emitters, saída, uso pretendido, instruções, and supporting evidence.

Nota médica: Este artigo fornece educação geral ao consumidor, não é conselho médico. As máscaras de LED variam de acordo com o uso pretendido, estatuto regulamentar, saída, avisos, eye-protection requirements, and treatment protocol. Follow the labeling for your device. Seek qualified medical guidance for medications that increase light sensitivity, light-sensitive or active skin conditions, procedimentos recentes, uncertain or severe acne, ou reações adversas.

What Can an LED Face Mask Color Chart Actually Tell You?

A color chart can organize the labels you see, but it cannot tell you the complete light output, protocolo, or expected result of a specific mask. The color a person sees is related to wavelength, yet color-band boundaries are approximate rather than universal. O International Commission on Illumination’s definition of visible radiation notes that there are no precise visible-spectrum limits, e NIST’s spectroscopy overview explains that color reflects light frequency and wavelength.

That physical relationship does not make a product label a treatment specification. A red button does not reveal the exact nanometer value, how broad the emitted band is, how much light reaches the skin, or which session protocol was studied. A purple, cyan, or white button may not even represent one distinct wavelength.

Use a color chart to answer two questions:

  1. What might this label describe physically?
  2. What information must I still verify for this model?

Do not use it to assign yourself a condition, create a dose, or copy another mask’s instructions.

LED Face Mask Color Chart: Significado, Comprimento de onda, and Evidence Status

The most useful chart separates a visual label from measured wavelength and evidence status, then lets you open the details for your color. There is no single cross-disciplinary boundary for “near-infrared.” The CIE places its related IR-A band at 780–1,400 nm and notes that near-, middle-, and far-infrared boundaries vary by application. The numbers below are examples actually reported in the cited research on facial skin or home facial devices—not specifications for every mask carrying the same color name or a claim that every wavelength across a broad physical band is used for facial treatment.

The table has eight rows because it adds NIR as a separate mode whose output generally cannot be verified by sight. NIR is not one of the seven visible-color labels in the title.

Role horizontalmente para ver todas as colunas
Label you may see Wavelength examples in cited research Evidence snapshot for facial skin use
Vermelho 630–670 nm in the cited at-home acne review; 633 e 660 nm in red-light skin-rejuvenation trials Broader category research for photobiomodulation (PBM, the use of low-level light to influence biological activity) and selected visible signs of skin aging; results and parameters vary
Azul 414–445 nm in the cited at-home acne review Selected at-home applications studied mainly in mild-to-moderate acne, often using blue alone or with red; not every acne lesion or diagnosis is covered
Verde 505 nm in the cited study Emerging and protocol-specific; one wavelength and mask protocol do not establish a universal green-light rule
Yellow or amber 570 e 590 nm in the cited exploratory study; both combined with 620 nm red and 850 nm infrared Limited and device-dependent; the cited combination study cannot isolate a yellow-only effect
Purple or violet No single value can be inferred from the label The label alone has no category-wide evidence meaning because its physical implementation may differ
Ciano No single value can be inferred from the label The name does not establish a standardized facial protocol
Branco No single therapeutic wavelength can be inferred from the label “White” does not establish one standard benefit
Infravermelho próximo (Nir) No universal boundary; related CIE IR-A band: 780–1,400 nm; facial-device study example: 850 nm Substantial PBM research history, including skin studies, but support remains wavelength-, dose-, and model-specific

This quick chart intentionally does not give every color one promised benefit. That would hide the most important distinction: a named color, a measured wavelength, a complete dose, a studied protocol, and a product claim are five different things. Open the relevant color below to see what the label may physically describe and what still needs to be checked on your exact mask.

LED face mask color chart comparing wavelength examples, label meaning, evidence status, and exact-device checks
Evidence differs by wavelength, protocolo, uso pretendido, and device. A color label alone does not establish one standard benefit.

What Might Each Color Label Describe—and What Should You Verify?

Red — cited examples: 630–670 nm, 633 nm, e 660 nm

What the label may describe: A visible red emitter. A product may use another red wavelength.

O que verificar: Exact wavelength, irradiância (light power delivered per unit area), radiant exposure (total light energy delivered per unit area) or programmed session, uso pretendido, avisos, and evidence for the model.

Blue — cited examples: 414–445 nm

What the label may describe: A shorter visible emitter. Research and product documentation may call nearby violet-blue values “blue.”

O que verificar: Comprimento de onda, acne indication, orientação ocular, photosensitivity warnings, protocolo, and whether the evidence covers your model.

Green — cited example: 505 nm

What the label may describe: A green-region emitter or a green-labeled setting.

O que verificar: Exact wavelength, study design, saída, target outcome, skin population, and whether the product matches the studied protocol.

Yellow or amber — cited examples: 570 e 590 nm in a combined-light study

What the label may describe: A yellow/amber emitter or a named mode containing other emitters. In the cited exploratory study, both yellow wavelengths were combined with 620 nm red and 850 nm infrared.

O que verificar: Whether the mode is yellow alone or combined, its wavelengths, saída, uso pretendido, and support for that model.

Purple or violet — no single wavelength can be inferred from the label

What the label may describe: A discrete violet-range emitter, a red-plus-blue combination, or another manufacturer-defined mixture.

O que verificar: Which wavelengths and emitters turn on, whether they operate simultaneously or sequentially, and what evidence applies to that combination.

Cyan — no single wavelength can be inferred from the label

What the label may describe: A discrete blue-green emitter, a blue-plus-green mixture, or another manufacturer-defined setting.

O que verificar: Exact spectrum or emitter combination, saída, uso pretendido, instruções, and device evidence.

White — no single therapeutic wavelength can be inferred from the label

What the label may describe: Several visible emitters operating together, a broad-spectrum source, or a manufacturer-defined mixed mode.

O que verificar: Spectral output, active emitters, dose, uso pretendido, protocolo, and device-specific evidence.

Infravermelho próximo (Nir) — related IR-A band: 780–1,400 nm; cited device example: 850 nm

What the label may describe: Radiation beyond visible red that is generally outside the visible range, used as its own mode or combined with visible light. A mask may use one specific NIR wavelength; the IR-A band is a spectral classification, not a facial-treatment range.

O que verificar: NIR wavelength, whether it is active in each mode, saída, protocolo, orientação ocular, and evidence scope.

Why Do Purple, Ciano, and White Mean Different Things Across Masks?

These names describe how a mode looks or is marketed, not necessarily one standardized emitter. Two masks can display the same color word while activating different LEDs.

Role horizontalmente para ver todas as colunas
Mode label Possible technical interpretation The question that resolves the ambiguity
Roxo A violet LED, red and blue LEDs operating together, or another mixture Which exact wavelengths and emitters are active?
Ciano A discrete blue-green emitter or a mixture of blue and green LEDs Is it one measured wavelength or a combined mode?
Branco Multiple visible LEDs together, a broad source, or a programmed sequence What does the spectral-output or mode table show?
7-color cycle Seven separate selections, several mixtures, or an automatic sequence Are the modes simultaneous, sequential, or independently selectable?
Diagram showing why purple, cyan, and white LED mask modes require active-emitter verification
Roxo, cyan, and white may represent individual emitters or mixed modes. Check which wavelengths and LEDs are actually active.

A screen color, ícone, or glowing product photo cannot answer those questions. Look for a mode table in the instructions or official support material that identifies the active emitters. If the documentation only repeats “purple for calming” or “white for renewal” without identifying the light, it has described a marketing purpose rather than a reproducible technical protocol.

Which LED Colors Have Stronger Evidence for Facial Skin Uses?

Red and blue have broader category-level support than most extra visible-color labels, but even their evidence is conditional rather than universal. UM systematic review of 31 randomized LED trials gave acne vulgaris a grade B recommendation while other dermatologic uses received grade C or D; the authors also noted small samples, inconsistent blinding, missing sham controls, and varied treatment parameters in parts of the literature. The review disclosed that Jared Jagdeo and Daniel Siegel served on the scientific advisory board of Global Med Technologies and that Jagdeo received honoraria from the company; this disclosure does not determine the findings, but it is relevant when weighing the review’s recommendations.

For acne specifically, um 2025 systematic review and meta-analysis of six at-home LED studies evaluated devices using red and/or blue light. That supports a defined body of evidence for certain home acne applications. It does not mean every blue button is appropriate for every breakout, that red and blue share the same role, or that a color chart can diagnose acne.

O American Academy of Dermatology’s guidance on lasers and lights for acne makes the practical limit clearer: visible light can treat pimples, but not blackheads, whiteheads, cysts, or nodules, and results vary. For red-light devices, o AAD similarly advises choosing a device intended for the concern you want to address and following its directions.

Green and yellow should not be dismissed as automatically useless, but their evidence should be described at the level it actually exists:

  • UM 2025 study of 505 nm green LED included cell and 3D skin-model experiments plus a small, evaluator-blinded split-face intervention in 15 healthy women aged 45–57. Participants used the YA-MAN 23F1XX mask for 10 minutos, six times weekly, for eight weeks. UM 2026 correção clarified the statistical reporting and added that four authors were employees of YA-MAN Ltd. and the study was conducted under a collaborative research agreement with the company. It is relevant emerging evidence for that wavelength, dispositivo, população, and protocol—not permission to transfer the conclusion to every green setting.
  • UM small 2025 exploratory randomized study enrolled 30 participants, of whom 28 completed the study, and compared 570 nm with 590 nm yellow light. Both groups also received 620 nm red and 850 nm infrared light. Because there was no yellow-only arm, the study cannot establish a yellow-only category effect.

Regulatory listings are not necessarily limited to red and blue. O FDA K250830 510(k) database record links to its official Summary, whose clearance letter and indications for use name red, amarelo, red-plus-infrared, azul, and a red-plus-blue-plus-infrared mixed mode for specified indications across the listed device family. Este é um 510(k) substantial-equivalence determination and exact-device regulatory scope—not independent proof that every listed mode has the same clinical evidence base. It does not turn “yellow” into an FDA-cleared wavelength category or prove that another yellow mode has the same intended use.

The lesson is not “extra colors never work.” It is:

The less standardized the label and the thinner the category evidence, the more important exact-device specifications and support become.

Why Is Near-Infrared Different From the Visible Colors?

NIR output may be active even when no light is visibly apparent. Visible light is only part of the electromagnetic spectrum, e o CIE notes that human visibility does not have one exact boundary. NIR sits beyond visible red, so visible brightness, cor, or a phone-camera image cannot verify its output.

A mask may offer NIR as:

  • a separate selectable mode;
  • an emitter that automatically turns on with red;
  • part of a mixed acne or rejuvenation protocol; ou
  • an optional setting controlled independently from visible LEDs.

You cannot tell which arrangement applies by looking at the mask. Check the wavelength table and mode instructions. A review of light parameters and photobiomodulation efficacy emphasizes why this matters: comprimento de onda, irradiância, radiant exposure, tempo de tratamento, pulse structure, beam area, and measurement conditions all affect whether studies and devices can be meaningfully compared.

How Do You Check the Color Modes on Your LED Mask?

Turn the color chart into a six-field device check before relying on a mode.

Role horizontalmente para ver todas as colunas
Field to check A useful answer looks like What a vague answer leaves unknown
Uso pretendido The exact concern and user group the mode is designed or labeled for Whether a general benefit list applies to you
Exact wavelength A nanometer value or measured spectral band for each emitter What physical light the color name represents
Active emitters A mode table showing which LEDs operate together and whether they are simultaneous or sequential Whether purple, cyan, or white is a distinct wavelength or a mixture
Output and dose Irradiância (light power delivered per unit area) in mW/cm² under stated conditions, plus session time and radiant exposure (total light energy delivered per unit area) in J/cm² when provided How much light reaches an area and whether a study protocol is comparable
Instructions and warnings Freqüência, course, orientação ocular, preparação, contra-indicações, stop conditions, and cleaning requirements Whether the mode is practical or appropriate to use as labeled
Device evidence and regulatory scope A study, autorização, or test that names the model or clearly defines the applicable family, modo, e uso pretendido Whether evidence from another device has been borrowed
Checklist for verifying LED mask wavelengths, active emitters, saída, protocolo, avisos, and device evidence
Before relying on an LED mask color mode, verify its intended use, comprimento de onda, active emitters, output and dose, instruções, avisos, and device-specific evidence.

If the seller provides only a rainbow graphic and a list of benefits, treat the modes as unexplained features—not as seven verified treatment programs. Look for the current official instructions or ask the brand for the missing mode-to-specification information. Do not fill the gaps with another company’s chart.

For the separate buying question—whether a focused red/blue configuration or a multi-mode mask better fits your goal—use Wakelife’s 7-color versus red-and-blue LED mask comparison. That page compares configurations; this page explains the color labels.

When Does a Color Question Become a Medical Question?

A color chart cannot determine what condition you have or whether light exposure is appropriate for you. Pause self-selection and seek qualified guidance when:

  • acne is severe, cystic, nodular, doloroso, cicatrizes, or uncertain;
  • you use a medication or prescription topical associated with light sensitivity;
  • you have a light-sensitive condition, an active rash, unexplained pigmentation, or a changing skin lesion;
  • you recently had a procedure or are following a clinician’s aftercare plan; ou
  • a session causes persistent pain, queimando, inchaço, eye symptoms, blistering, or another adverse reaction.

Do not stop a medication or substitute a mask for diagnosis or prescribed care based on a color label.

O resultado final

Read an LED face mask color chart as a translation aid, not as a universal treatment menu. Red and blue have comparatively broader category evidence for specific facial applications. Green and yellow have emerging or exact-protocol evidence that should not be generalized. Roxo, cyan, and white require emitter-level decoding. NIR may be active even when no light is visibly apparent.

For every mode, return to the same practical check: comprimento de onda, active emitters, saída, dose or programmed protocol, uso pretendido, avisos, and evidence for that model. If those details are missing, the color name cannot supply them.

For Brands and Product Teams

Consumer confusion around multi-color masks is often a documentation problem. A useful mode-to-evidence map should identify each selectable setting, active emitter combination, comprimento de onda, measured output, sessão programada, uso pretendido, avisos, and evidence scope. Mixed modes should be described by their emitters rather than relying only on names such as purple or white.

If you are developing a multi-mode mask or improving its consumer instructions, explorar Wakelife Plataformas de máscara facial LED e Capacidades OEM e ODM after defining the intended use and evidence plan for each mode.
